Takitaki is the third Browns’ starting middle linebacker to be lost for the season this year. The other two were Anthony Walker Jr. (torn quad) and Jacob Phillips (torn pec).
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Browns linebacker Sione Takitaki, who had emerged in recent weeks as a quality starting middle ‘backer, is out for the season with a torn ACL suffered in Sunday’s 27-14 victory over the Texans.
Takitaki was injured on a Texans punt return with 5:43 left in the game. Houston fumbled the return, forced by linebacker Jordan Kunaszyk and recovered by Tony Fields, giving the Browns the ball back at the Houston 32-yard line.
