Broken water main leaves 19 homes flooded in Nestor [Breaking]
A water main burst in the Nestor area of San Diego early Thursday, sending water down streets and flooding more than a dozen homes, a water official said.
Crews quickly isolated the main and shut off the water. Workers began excavating the area around the broken pipe and planned to make repairs as quickly as possible, he said.About 100 customers in the area were temporarily without water, and 19 homes were damaged by the flooding, Barreto said. Video of the area shot by OnScene TV showed residents trying to clean up as water and mud saturated carpeting and other flooring. Some parked vehicles were surrounded by water.
