The new HBO Max live-action series was part of the DCU's announced movies, TV shows, and animated series for the franchise's Chapter 1, titled Gods and Monsters. The Booster Gold DCU series is being hailed as a different type of superhero show, focusing on a superhero's imposter syndrome.
DC Comics' Booster Gold is known for his impeccable comedic timing, which stems from the character having a pretty good knowledge of how to deal with technology and its wonders, using that to his advantage to show off to the public in the comics. Jurgens believes that the character aspect is something that makes Booster fitting for his DCU series, given how the different types of media have flourished and the meta connection of Booster coming to HBO Max.
