A Lorain County grand jury will soon hear evidence in the case of a woman accused of stabbing her parents in their home last week.
Elyria Municipal Judge Gary Bennett set bond at $240,000 for Emily Deese, 34, on Monday. He also bound the case over to the grand jury. The panel is expected to discuss it in the coming weeks.
Upon arrival, officers discovered Deese had stabbed her parents, James and Melanie Deese, multiple times, causing serious injuries. In a Dec. 6 press release, police said Deese chased her father out of the residence and continued her attempt to stab him. Chasko said Emily Deese “followed instructions well” when told by officers to get on the ground while being arrested.
