Bob Dylan will bring his 'Rough and Rowdy Ways' tour to Irving this week.
Bob Dylan, pictured in 2019, will perform in Irving this week.Rough and Rowdy WaysReleased in 2020,was Dylan’s first album of original songs in eight years and his first since becoming the only songwriter to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2016.
The album includes “Crossing the Rubicon,” about Julius Caesar’s decision to cross the Rubicon River in 49 B.C. to take his troops into battle, and the 17-minute “Murder Most Foul,” which addresses the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in context of American political and cultural history.
Dylan is best known for hits like “Blowin’ in the Wind,” “The Times They Are A-Changin” and “Like a Rolling Stone.”for the Irving show start at $49.50. The concert is at 8 p.m. Thursday at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory, 300 W. Las Colinas Blvd. Attendees will be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the concert.
