Burnet and Barker were first romantically linked in 1983 and were together up until Barker’s tragic passing on Saturday.
“I am so proud of the trailblazing work Barker and I did together to expose the cruelty to animals in the entertainment industry and including working to improve the plight of abused and exploited animals in the United States and internationally,” Burnet, who founded United Activists for Animal Rights in 1987, said in a statement to Page Six.As previously reported, a spokesperson for Barker confirmed the sad news of the game show host’s passing on Saturday.
