Lucki said she wasn’t demanding the information be released, but had been informed it would be and wanted to understand why it wasn’t. Lucki said her frustration was part of a broader trend in the investigation where information was hard to come by. She said the Nova Scotia RCMP didn’t have enough resources to properly update her or the public.

“When that mass murder took place in Nova Scotia, for me, it was the last straw,” he said. “We had to act and it wasn’t a coincidence, but neither was it exploiting a terrible tragedy. It was responding to that terrible tragedy and saying never again.”
