Bill Gates says he wishes his younger self knew 'there is more to life than work'
In Gates' commencement speech, which he, the billionaire also advised students to take time to reevaluate their decisions throughout the course of their lives and be willing to continue learning even outside of the classroom.
"You probably feel a lot of pressure right now to make the right decisions about your career," he said."It might feel like those decisions are permanent. They're not. What you do tomorrow — or for the next ten years — does not have to be what you do forever." Gates also advised students to rely on their friendships and work on projects that solve important problems, like climate change or biases in AI.
"You are graduating at a time of immense opportunity to help people," Gates told the graduates."New industries and companies are emerging every day that will allow you to make a living by making a difference.
