After landing the iconic role of Foxxy Cleopatra in the 2002 hit film “Austin Powers In Goldmember,” Beyoncé wasn’t afraid to speak her mind.Despite her tender age, Queen Bey had no problem telling bosses she didn’t like the movie’s poster as it made her look “too skinny.” on the 20th anniversary of the film’s release, Kate Biscoe, the movie’s makeup artist, said the poster was sent back for editing after the singer asked them to show more of her curves.
“When we were shooting, someone brought her a poster that would be promoting the movie,” Biscoe told the outlet. “He showed it to her, like, ‘Do you like it?’ And she was kind of like, ‘Yeah.’ He goes, ‘What’s the matter?’ And she says, ‘You made me too skinny. Biscoe went on, “ walked away to go do the scene, and I looked at him and smiled, like, ‘Is that the first time that you’ve ever had an actress ask to make her body bigger?’Beyoncé’s appearance in the “Austin Powers” franchise marked her second major acting project after having starred in “Carmen: A Hip Hopera,” in 2001.
