Texas stars Eva Longoria, Kelly Clarkson 'beef' over where to get the best Tex-Mex food
What became a faux"beef" between the pair began innocuously enough on the"Kelly Clarkson Show" this month, as Longoria revealed she would soon be taking up residence in San Antonio, at least part-time. Born in Corpus Christi to a family with a long line of Mexican and Spanish origins, the"Desperate Housewives" star refers to herself as a"Texican," as she also lives part-time in Mexico City with her husband, José Bastón.
Seizing the opportunity, Longoria jokingly said,"I don't know, Kelly," as she then proceeded to encourage audience members to agree with her. Nonetheless, there's one thing the duo did agree on — cheese. Tex-Mex food is cheese heavy, and the Texans bonded over their mutual love of runny Tex-Mex queso.
Longoria had appeared on the show to promote"Flamin' Hot," her directional debut, which tells the story behind the creation of the super popular snack Flamin' Hot Cheetos.
