Hoffmann, a sophomore, scored three goals, including the winner in overtime, as Monte Vista defeated Acalanes 10-9.
He also had two goals and an assist in a loss to Marin Academy. As a freshman last season, Hoffmann was named the team’s “Rookie of the Year” after contributing 52 goals and 17 assists.
