San Diego State coach does his 'due diligence,' sending penalties he questions to Mountain West office; redshirt freshman walk-on Tobin O'Dell elevated to QB2
For the second time in as many weeks, SDSU coach Brady Hoke has sent penalties called against the Aztecs to the Mountain West Conference offices for review.
“Sometimes I don’t think there’s value in doing it, and I don’t like to do it,” he said, but added, “I think there’s a heads-up. I know a couple of the calls they’re going to use in their teaching.” “We had four offsides on defense. That’s unacceptable. You may have one during the course of a game, then everybody gets in tune with the cadence, clap, whatever it might be. But to have four ... that’s something that needs to be corrected.”“It gets back to fundamentals and techniques,” Hoke said. “And it gets back to us.
