Audio obtained by the Washington Examiner of a Trump interview tells different story than that explosive Piers Morgan promo you saw earlier today
Whereas the 30-second ad, shared by Morgan himself, strongly suggests Trump walked out of the room after being confronted about his claims of a stolen election in 2020, audio obtained by the Washington Examiner indicates the interview actually ended amicably.
The discussion was stretching past the one-hour mark, and Morgan kept pressing Trump on a variety of topics despite Morgan saying he was wrapping up his questions and being reminded of it as he continued on anyway.
The Washington Examiner obtained the audio from Trump's communications director, Taylor Budowich. The interview, conducted for Talk TV, is set to air Monday. Morgan goes way back with Trump, making headlines in 2008 for emerging victorious on Trump's NBC reality show Celebrity Apprentice.
