Audemars Piguet has found its new CEO. Ilaria Resta, former president of Firmenich, will take the helm as head of the luxury watchmaker in January 2024.
Resta, who will begin working at the company in August 2023 and take over as CEO in January of next year, is a Swiss-Italian residing in Geneva. She was poached from Firmenich, a global perfumery and ingredients company, where she served as president. Before that role, she spent over two decades working at Procter & Gamble in senior roles in Europe and the U.S.
Resta will indeed have some very big shoes to fill. Bennahmias is known for his larger-than-life personality and under his leadership the brand has become hotter than ever, reaching over $1.6 billion in revenue in 2021. It has even surpassed Patek Philippe in sales—an achievement that cannot be underestimated.
