At least 9 dead as ice storm ends in the South, leaving travel troubles, outages in its wake
At least nine people have died due to an ice storm that went through Texas and parts of the South.Many trees fell in Austin, Texas during the winter storm on February 1, 2023.Car sit stuck on an exit ramp in Dallas on February 1, 2023 during icy conditions caused by the storm.The storm caused power outages for at least 500,000 people and businesses across the region.All of the fatalities so far reported from the storm have been a result of crashes on icy roads.
