At least five people were injured early Monday on a flight from Rio de Janeiro in Brazil to Houston, when the plane hit turbulence, according to airport officials.
The flight arrived around 5:30 a.m. at Houston Intercontinental Airport and five passengers were transported to the hospital with injuries, officials said. Three United Airlines crew members and two passengers were among those injured, according to Aubrey Jackson, a spokeswoman for United Airlines.This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
