Astros unveil new Space City-themed uniforms
Astros catcher Martín Maldonado models the new City Connect uniforms that will make their debut in the April 20 home game against the Angels.The Astros introduced their new Space City-themed alternate uniforms Sunday morning.
In a nod to Houston's contributions to space travel, the navy uniforms feature the"Space City" nickname across the jersey chest in a 1970s NASA-like orange font, rainbow piping throughout the uniform and rainbow gradient socks. The jersey's sleeves have a grid pattern resembling star charts used by astronomers.
