The Astros Foundation will host the inaugural Cactus Jack HBCU Classic on the opening weekend of the 2023 college baseball season.
The round-robin tournament, from Feb. 17-19 at Minute Maid Park, will feature six historically Black colleges and universities: Texas Southern, Prairie View A&M, Southern, Grambling State, Jackson State and Mississippi Valley State. The week of the tournament will also include a college fair at Minute Maid Park hosted by the Astros Youth Academy that will feature more than 100 colleges and universities. The Astros are partnering with rapper Travis Scott's Cactus Jack Foundation for the tournament.Texas Southern vs. Mississippi Valley St., 3 p.m.Southern vs. Grambling St., 3 p.m.Grambling St. vs. Mississippi Valley St., 11 a.m.
