A worker arrived at the job site to get tools out of the truck when he noticed it was moving.
While speaking to the suspect, a woman emerged from the woods and stated "the man is not all there," before they got into a Mercedes-Benz van and left.Police were called to the closed road construction zone on Aug. 11, where a Rock Creek man, 49, reported he stopped at the job site around 4 p.m. to get tools, then noticed one of the company’s dump trucks moving back and forth. He then realized they had no workers on site that day.
Police checked nearby Flock Safety cameras for the license plate provided and contacted a Painesville-based transportation company, asking them to bring all parties back to the police station. Transit company officials agreed to do so but advised it was all a misunderstanding.
