"Make Do and Mend" by Danyelle Lakin was named the winner. The artist's oil stick on cradled encaustic board depicts a swimsuit-clad older man clutching the hand of smiling, stuffed toy bear. An inflatable swimming pool beckons in the background. Her honorable mention is Page Pilan's"The Bough May Break." The piece features a child's violin bow, sculpture of the violin bow and painting of the violin bow. That progression was a standout for Burns Wilson.
