David Ramsey, who plays John Diggle in the CW's Arrowverse, teases that SupermanAndLois could continue his potential Green Lantern storyline: 'Maybe the ring is still there.'
Arrowverse star David Ramsey, who portrays John Diggle, talks about the possibility of Superman & Lois continuing his potential Green Lantern story arc. When it comes to The CW's Arrowverse, it wasn't just the multiple cancelations that gave the franchise a massive shake-up this year.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Another crucial Arrowverse storyline that took an odd turn was Diggle's Green Lantern storyline, which was first set up in the Arrow series finale. After exploring and teasing it bit by bit in episodes of other Arrowverse shows, The Flash season 8 brought that plot to a sudden end. For almost two years, Diggle had refused the mysterious alien box's invitation to start a new cosmic adventure.
"It's not resolved. Eric [Wallace] called me, showrunner of The Flash, and he had a pitch for me to end the saga, the Green Lantern Saga, within the Arrowverse. And the reason why he did is because the Arrowverse was ending, right? It's gonna end with Flash and all the other shows would go.
Something to take into serious account is that Ramsey is not involved with Superman & Lois in any creative capacity, neither as an executive producer nor writer. As of right now, the Arrow veteran is not even a series regular on the Arrowverse drama. Thus far, Ramsey has only directed a few episodes and appeared in a guest star capacity, including in the upcoming Superman & Lois season 3.
While Superman & Lois could easily explore this down the line, it's hard to imagine that being the case as long as Diggle isn't a main player on the show. The Arrowverse drama has also stressed the point that on Superman & Lois' Earth, there are no other super-powered beings other than the Man of Steel.
