EXCLUSIVE: It looks like David Dastmalchian's Kurt isn't coming back in AntManandTheWaspQuantumania 👀😭 'It doesn't look like it... But that's okay. I know they're making something incredible... I have tried to stay in touch...'

David Dastmalchian's Kurt Goreshter won't be in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly reprise their superhero roles on the heels of the Infinity Saga in director Peyton Reed's upcoming Marvel Studios film, the third in the Ant-Man series. Currently the last named Marvel Studios project on the release calendar, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is expected to hit theaters on July 28, 2023.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania plot details are still scarce at this point. Production started in London, and while Reed announced the wrap of principal photography back in November, recent set images of Rudd as Scott Lang in Los Angeles suggest there is still filming to be done. Aside from its titular characters, Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer will also be back as Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne, and Michael Peña's Luis will feature in the film as well.

It doesn't look like it... But that's okay. I know they're making something incredible. I can't wait to see what Peyton does next. He's one of my favorite directors... He's been so busy. I have tried to stay in touch, but he's making an incredible film right now. There's still a chance that Dastmalchian will be called to partake in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, especially since it appears that he has a great enough working relationship with Marvel Studios to attend the Moon Knight premiere. However, one other member of their friend group has long been confirmed as absent from the threequel: T.I., who played Ant-Man's Dave, is also not on the film's cast list.

Assuming that Dastmalchian also sits out Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, it could be an indication of what the movie's story could be like. Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror is the movie's confirmed villain, hinting that Scott and Hope van Dyne's upcoming adventure will be less grounded compared to previous Ant-Man films.
