Answering the key questions about Texas Longhorns' spring football game

No Bijan Robinson. No Roschon Johnson. Yeah, the Texas backfield is going to look different in 2023.

Redshirt sophomore Jonathon Brooks has all the makings of a go-to back on first and second downs. His career rushing averages compare favorably to Robinson’s, albeit on limited volume. Still, he’s in line to handle much of the early-down work. Defensive end and returning sack leader Barryn Sorrell is eager to put together an All-Big 12 junior campaign after breaking out in 2022. Fifth-year tackle T’Vondre Sweat is a hulking presence at 6-foot-4 and 355 pounds who started nine games last season. And junior tackle linemen Byron Murphy II has been consistently praised by teammates and coaches as he looks to fill the interior void created by Coburn’s departure.
