The blues musician, who won season 5 of “America’s Got Talent,” is currently holed up in intensive care, according to his wife Lucie Zolcerva-Grimm.
In the days leading up to being rushed to the hospital, Grimm — who proposed to Lucie during an appearance on “The Ellen Show” in 2010 — was unable to finish his recent live performances.“I rushed him to the ER because I thought something was wrong, like he was having a stroke or something. That wasn’t the case, luckily,” she explained. “Whatever was going on in his body from whatever, toxins I guess, they were going to his brain, he started talking gibberish.
“He is improving, so that is good. It’s just taking time,” Lucie added, saying that while he’s no longer relying on a ventilator, he is still sedated.
