🐊 If you've ever wanted to hunt a gator, your chance is coming up soon. Here are the details and requirements:

Registration starts June 6 at 8 a.m. and closes July 11 at 8 a.m. Applicants will be able to check results on July 12 at 9 a.m. and, for those who are selected, acceptance is required on July 19.

Only state residents and Lifetime Hunting License holders of the state of Alabama who are 16 years of age or older can apply for an Alligator Harvest Permit in the state. Non-residents can participate but only as an alligator hunting assistant.There is no cost to register but a Resident Alligator Harvest Permit is $250.

Applicants need a Conservation ID number and date of birth to access the application. Don’t have one or can’t remember the number?Alligator hunting is limited to five zones: coastal ; southwest ; west central ; southeast ; and Lake Eufaula.
