Since the program was born in 2002, H-E-B has awarded more than $12 million to exemplary public schools in Texas. Allen’s school board was also selected for its attention to community engagement, including the AISD Leadership Academy, the Board Academy, Project Kids, the SOAR 2030 strategic visioning process and more, according to the news release.
