All lanes of north I-5 closed at La Costa after fatal crash [Breaking]
All lanes of northbound Interstate 5 at La Costa Avenue were closed following a fatal crash on the freeway early Wednesday involving a suspected drunken driver, authorities said.At least one person was killed and a second person was in critical condition, said CHP Officer Mark Latulippe. He said one driver has been arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.
A traffic alert was issued. Caltrans said on Twitter that the freeway was closed, with all northbound cars being detoured off and back on at the La Costa Avenue ramps. Update: NB I-5 at La Costa Ave, all lanes remain closed. Traffic being detoured off and back on at the La Costa off- and on- ramps.
