3 Woody Harrelson Like Frasier, Woody Harrelson's Woody was a subsequent addition in Cheers, only appearing in season 4. Woody replaced Coach after Nicholas Colossanto's unexpected death in the middle of the sitcom's run. He was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series for Cheers a total of five times, and won once in 1989.
2 Shelley Long As part of the original cast of Cheers, Long played the intellectual but self-aggrandizing Diane for five seasons until she decided to exit the sitcom. Before she left the show, however, she collected four Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series nominations and won once in 1983. Her return during the final season of the Boston-set sitcom earned her an Outstanding Guest Actress In A Comedy Series nod in 1993.
