Alicia Silverstone reprises the role of Clueless' Cher (plaid and all) in a new teaser video ad that promises more to come soon.
Clueless star Alicia Silverstone dons Cher's iconic yellow suit as she recreates a scene from the beloved '90s teen comedy. Adored by audiences for its coming-of-age story, Clueless follows Silverstone's Cher through her days as a popular teen growing up in Beverly Hills. Along with her best friend Dionne , Cher skillfully navigates the highs and lows of high school drama, befriending new girl Tai and helping her become popular.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY With Clueless having remained one of Silverstone's most notable performances, the star has now recreated one of Cher's scenes from the film. Sharing the short clip to Twitter with the caption "I’m just gonna leave this here," Silverstone can be seen wearing an outfit that is incredibly similar to Cher's yellow plaid Dolce & Gabbana suit from the film. Aside from wearing the outfit that has become synonymous with the Clueless character, Silverstone also recreates a scene that takes place during Cher's debate class, whereby she pulls a piece of chewing gum from between her teeth.
Recent years have seen Silverstone and her co-stars embrace their iconic roles by referencing them across a number of Clueless-inspired TikTok videos. However, despite her evident fondness for Cher, Silverstone has previously stated that she cannot see a Clueless 2 happening any time soon, much to the dismay of many.
Despite a clear desire among Hollywood heads to get some form of Clueless reboot off the ground, it remains to be seen whether audiences will get to catch up with Cher again one day. While Clueless 2 may not be on the cards right now, it's fair to say that Silverstone doesn't seem interested in distancing herself from the role by any means.
