Two morning trains and four scheduled for the evening were cancelled.
The Altamont Corridor Express transit system cancelled its service for the day Wednesday, after another mudslide came down onto the tracks along Niles Canyon, the agency said.
The agency announced at 8:09 a.m. that they had cancelled the ACE 05 and 07 trains that were scheduled for Wednesday morning, and that trains 04, 06, 08 and 10 scheduled for the evening also would not run. Due to mudslides in Niles Canyon, ACE 05 and ACE 07 have been cancelled for the morning. Evening trains ACE 04, ACE 06, ACE 08, and ACE 10 have also been cancelled for todayACE did not offer any other information immediately. It was not clear how riders who had taken morning trains were supposed to get back to their original station.. That train had 220 passengers. None of them or the crew were injured in the mudslide.
