A dispute between private liquor stores in Alabama and the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board is resolved, at least for now.

In March 2021, lawmakers passed Senate Bill 126 to authorize home deliveries of liquor, beer, and wine with certain restrictions. Under the law, which took effect in October 2021, retailers licensed by the ABC Board could obtain a delivery license from the board. The law also allows third-party delivery companies to apply for licenses from the ABC Board.

Neil Graff, chief operations officer for the board, said it received proposals from delivery contractors in response to its request. But he said those proposals were not opened.
