According to a recently published national ranking, Texas isThe first is for legislators to use the least restrictive forms of regulation through the Right to Earn a Living Act.

Texas currently uses a periodic sunset review of licensing laws. Expanding their purview to more frequent reviews with greater authority, like Nebraska and Mississippi have done, would provide more opportunity to remove unnecessary and costly regulations.Finally, because occupational licensing laws make it more difficult to move to a new state, Texas should consider the universal recognition of out-of-state licenses.
