Outfielder Cristian Pache, who arrived in the Matt Olson deal, was sent to Philadelphia.
OAKLAND — The Athletics dealt center fielder Cristian Pache to the Philadelphia Phillies Wednesday in exchange for right-handed pitcher Billy Sullivan, the club announced.
Sullivan, 23, was a 28th-round draft pick of the Phillies in 2017, played collegiately at Delaware and hasn’t played above Double-A. Last season for Double-A Reading in the Eastern League, Sullivan was 5-1 with two saves and a 4.59 earned run average. He showed good stuff with 77 strikeouts in 51 innings but also had 36 walks.
