Oakland A’s right-hander Frankie Montas leaves game with Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park after facing four hitters
Frankie Montas’ start against the Seattle Mariners didn’t last long.
Right-handed reliever Austin Pruitt warmed up in the A’s bullpen in the first inning and took over for Montas in the bottom of the second and retired the Mariners’ side in order. As Pruitt entered the game, Montas left the A’s dugout. In the first inning, Montas’ four-seam fastball was measured at 94 mph, a pitch that is usually 2-5 mph faster.
