'Squid Game: The Challenge' is set to offer the largest cash prize in reality TV history.
Netflix's smash-hit "Squid Game," a fictional South Korean series in which contestants compete in a series of schoolyard games that will kill them if they lose, all for a few billion won, is bleak, dystopian and searingly political.
So naturally, the streamer is turning the series -- known for starring a ginormous laser-eyed killer doll -- into a reality show. Enter"Squid Game: The Challenge," a new reality competition series apparently based on the original series, which became Netflix's most popular show of all time upon its release in late 2021.
