95-year-old driver suffers life threatening injuries in Grantville head-on crash [Breaking]
A 95-year-old driver suffered life-threatening injuries in a head-on collision in Grantville late Thursday morning, San Diego police said.
He was headed west on Camino Del Rio North in a 1988 Toyota pickup just after 11:20 a.m., Officer Robert Heims said. A 77-year-old woman was driving a 2019 Honda SUV eastbound in the dividing section of the street, just west of Fairmount, he said.Heims said the pickup crossed into the dividing section and struck the Honda head on. The driver of the Honda complained of pain in her chest.
