89-year-old pedestrian fatally struck by vehicle in El Cajon [Breaking]
A sedan struck and killed an 89-year-old man who was walking down the street Tuesday in El Cajon, police said.Few details about how the crash occurred were available, but El Cajon police said they found a man unconscious in the roadway after he was struck.His name was not released, pending notification of his family.
The driver of the 2014 Kia Optima remained at the scene and spoke with investigators, police said. Alcohol and drugs are not suspected factors in the crash. Anyone with information regarding the collision is urged to call the El Cajon Police Department at 579-3311.
