Byron Lightbody, 89, died after he was struck by a truck while riding his electric bicycle near the Lynn Creek Linear Park in Arlington, Texas.

Officers responded to the 6700 block of New York Avenue near Lynn Creek Linear Park about 11:25 a.m. to investigate the crash, police said.The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office identified the man as Byron Lightbody. He was an Arlington resident.Lightbody was lying unresponsive in the roadway when officers arrived and was taken to Medical City Arlington where he was pronounced dead about a half hour later, according to officials.
