A 72-year-old man in a motorized wheelchair died last week after he was struck by a pickup truck while crossing a street in Millville.
Decesare Filippo, 72, of Millville, was on West Main Street around 12:15 p.m. Wednesday when he used a crosswalk at Riverside Drive, city police reported. A 20-year-old Millville man driving a pickup made a left turn off West Main onto Riverside, striking Filippo, police said. Filippo was treated at the scene, then taken to Inspira Medical Center Vineland, where he died of his injuries.Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Millville Police Sgt.
