Another office building in the works for Frisco
The seven-story office building would be part of an $850 million mixed-use development planned at the northeast corner of Spring Creek Parkway and State Highway 121.
The $50 million planned office development called SouthStone Yards would start construction this summer, according to planning documents filed with the state.The office high-rise is to be located in a 60-acre development on the north side of S.H. 121. In 2018, Frisco set the zoning for the property on its southern border. One of the last large development sites on that stretch of the highway, the zoning allows construction of office towers, a hotel, retail space and apartments and townhouses.
The building site is just north of Toyota’s new North American headquarters and the $3 billion Legacy West development in Plano. The Frisco project was originally planned for four office towers with as much as 1.4 million square feet of space, a full-service hotel, 80,000 square feet of retail and more than 1,000 apartments and townhouses.Architect Gensler is designing the office building Crow Holdings would own, and it’s set to open at the end of 2023.
