Officers investigate a crash involving a Metro train and an ambulance that sent five to the hospital.An ambulance was taking patients to the hospital late Tuesday when a Metro train struck it, sending about five people to the hospital, in a crash near the Medical Center, officials said.
A Houston Fire Department ambulance was trying to make a turn near the intersection of Fannin Street and Dryden Road when the train struck it, officials told On Scene reporters. It’s not clear yet who was at fault. The crash sent three passengers on the train to the hospital with minor injuries, along with a firefighter and a patient aboard the ambulance, officials said.
