Five are dead following a crash on a rural road between Comfort and Fredericksburg Monday morning, according to KENS5.Five people are dead following a head-on vehicle crash near the border of Kerr and Kendall counties Monday morning, according to KENS5.
The accident occurred around 7:30 a.m. at the 900 block of Highway 87 between Fredericksburg and Comfort, a town approximately 15 miles north of Boerne on Interstate 10. A white Mazda sedan with four occupants driving northbound passed in a no-passing zone and crashed into a black Nissan SUV heading southbound, KENS5 reports.
All five involved in the crash died, according to KENS5, and their identities have yet to be released. A Facebook Post by the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office said the roadway is clear and has been reopened. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash, according to KENS5.
