Officers used a tourniquet on an 18-year-old victim before he was transported to UAB Hospital. A 17-year-old was also transported to UAB. A 16-year-old victim had already been taken to the hospital by private vehicle.
When they arrived on the scene, said Sgt. Monica Law, they found two teen males – ages 18 and 17 – both suffering from gunshot wounds.
Officers were able to use a tourniquet on the 18-year-old victim before he was transported to UAB Hospital by Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service. A 17-year-old was also transported to UAB by BFRS.All three are said to have non-life-threatening injuries. Law said it appears there was a house party at a short-term vacation rental during the time of the shooting incident.
