Three teenagers from Philadelphia were arrested after police say they robbed a Pennsylvania gun store and crashed a stolen car during a police pursuit in Trenton.
They get in the car, they pull out, and I see the blue and red in the back of the camera they were right on them," LugerMan owner Eugene Goluvstov told FOX 29.
As the suspect's car flees the store, Middletown Township Police Officers follow closely behind. They alerted police in Falls Township who placed "stop sticks' in the road to pop the vehicle's tires. As their vehicle crossed into Trenton, it struck a pole and the five people inside tried to run. Three teens from Philadelphia, ages 15 and 16, were arrested. "They probably scouted my store before- -probably knew there wasn’t a lot to take, but they went in anyway- -it’s a lot of effort for 20 guns," Goluvstov said.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is working with local police to try to link the gun store theft to a string of recent robberies in the region. "The question becomes how many people are going to get shot with these guns," Lt. Steve Forman said. "That’s 21 fewer guns that are going to be in the hands of criminals on the street."
