The C40 and XC40 Recharge feature a rear-mounted electric motor developing 248 hp car auto cars
The big news is the addition of rear-wheel drive variants, which feature an 82 kWh battery pack and an in-house developed electric motor that produces 248 hp . While the powertrain doesn’t sound too remarkable, the crossovers will become the first rear-wheel drivehas an EPA estimated range of 297 miles . That drops to 293 miles for the XC40 Recharge, but both have a 200 kW DC fast charging capability and this enables them to go from a 10-80% charge in approximately 28 minutes.
This gives the models a combined output of 402 hp , which is the same as their predecessors. They also retain the same 78 kWh battery pack and 150 kW DC fast charging capability, but they can now travel 21 miles farther thanks to the new motors. As a result, the 2024 C40 Recharge Twin Motor has an EPA estimated range of 257 miles while theBesides the powertrain updates, the Twin Motor variants have new 19-inch alloy wheels with an aerodynamically optimized design.
