Two adults and two children were hurt Friday when the balcony that they were standing on collapsed, officials said.
Two adults and two children were injured Friday afternoon when the balcony at a single-family home in theWhen first responders arrived at 466 Westmoor Ave. in Daly City at 1:07 p.m., they found that a balcony on the front of a two-story home had fallen to the ground, the North County Fire Authority said in a news release. All four people were standing on the balcony when it fell.
Firefighters and paramedics provided medical care to the four individuals at the scene before they were taken by ambulance to a local trauma center. Clyde Preston, an investigator for the fire authority, told SFGATE on the phone that he could not comment on the severity of the victims' injuries. The fire authority said a building inspector was called to the home to conduct a structural investigation.
