“If it was not for the alert Walmart employee and the quick actions of our officers, this incident would have resulted in the death of this young 2-week-old. As terrible of a situation this was, it could have been a lot worse. So many things could have gone differently today, and we thank God for such a positive outcome,” Slidell Chief of Police Randy Fandal said in a prepared statement.

'This is what the Fed wants, but it needs to be orderly to avoid an increase in recession risks,' said Ryan Sweet, a senior economist at Moody's Analytics in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
