Fire breaks out at apartment complex, 16 units damaged, officials said
An apartment building caught on fire Wednesday night and no one was hospitalized, but 16 units were damaged., and 16 units were damaged, according to Houston Fire Department officials.
The fire department received multiple calls about the fire at Siena Courtyards in north Houston. When firefighters got to the scene around 9:50 p.m., the fire was visible on the first two floors of the apartment building, District Chief Matthew Corso told OnScene TV.Once they were able to get their water set up, firefighters successfully contained the blaze, so it didn't spread to other buildings in the complex.
“Between the massive rainfall and the lightning, it definitely makes our job a lot harder,” Corso said.
