West Seneca, N.Y. — A 14-year-old boy who took his family car without permission died in a fiery crash when the car smashed into a tractor-trailer on the Thruway near Buffalo, New York, according to police.The crash happened at 5:45 a.m. on Saturday, April 8 just south of Buffalo in West Seneca, about 90 miles from the boy’s home.
The boy was driving the family’s 2016 Nissan Rouge east on the interstate at a high rate of speed when it crashed into the back of a 2023 FedEx Freightliner tractor-trailer, troopers said. The car then struck a barrier and burst into flames. Sanaullah was declared dead at the scene by the Erie County Medical Examiner. He was the only person in the car at the time, troopers said.The boy took the car without his parents’ knowledge, said New York State Police spokesperson Tara McCormick.
