According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the 12-year-old, who also has autism, was found in the roadway.
Gonzalez said he was transported to the hospital in critical condition. The boy’s condition is now stable and Gonzalez said he will survive his injuries.An investigation is underway as deputies work to find that suspect.
Update to incident on Greenhouse: the parents are with the child who is confirmed to be 12-years-old and autistic. The child is stable and it appears that he will survive his injuries. The striking vehicle fled the scene.
